Edsby is a cloud-based K–12 learning management system used by nearly 2 million teachers, administrators, parents, and students across about 11,000 schools and districts. Facing strong demand for advanced analytics but constrained by education-sector pricing and data-security concerns, Edsby needed a way to deliver customizable, role-specific data visualizations without shouldering the full cost and risk of building an analytics layer from scratch.

Edsby embedded Microsoft Power BI Embedded into its Azure-hosted portal to add dashboards and visualizations (reducing development effort by about 80%) with row-level security and connections to student information, assessment, attendance, and activity data. The result: an affordable premium analytics add-on that drives new revenue opportunities, supports district- and system-level insights, and helps teachers, parents, and administrators identify challenges and improve student outcomes.
