Ecolab delivers expert customer service in the field with Azure Bot Service

Ecolab’s site reliability engineering teams were overwhelmed by about 30 to 40 daily performance alerts and spent too much time jumping between dashboards to find root causes. To improve incident response, Ecolab turned to Microsoft Azure, specifically Azure SRE Agent, along with Azure Monitor and Azure DevOps.

Microsoft Azure helped Ecolab co-build an agentic AI workflow that triages alerts, surfaces likely remediation steps, consolidates daily incident reporting, and automates ticket creation. Within a few months, daily alerts dropped to fewer than 10 on average, root-cause analysis became faster, and the SRE team could focus more on performance optimization and less on firefighting.
