Transport for Wales needed a scalable, cloud-based platform to support a fast-growing public transport organization, including finance operations handling millions of pounds each month and later customer service and stakeholder management. As a new company, it wanted a robust system aligned with Welsh Government best practices, and chose Microsoft Azure alongside the broader Microsoft stack, including Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management.

Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Dynamics helped Transport for Wales build an integrated digital platform with Power Apps and Power Automate for mobile timesheets, grant applications, and CRM workflows. The result was faster, more user-friendly processes, better visibility into stakeholder interactions, and the ability to launch new apps quickly—such as a school naming competition built in a week—while supporting remote work during COVID-19 without disruption.
