Duo+ - Customer Case Study

Duo+ is an alliance of three small Dutch municipalities (Uithoorn, Diemen, and Ouder‑Amstel) that needed to merge three separate IT infrastructures into a single, secure, mobile‑first environment so about 800 users across three sites could work the same way from anywhere despite tight budgets and limited staff. The primary challenge was designing a hybrid cloud baseline that integrated on‑premises systems with the cloud while minimizing up‑front costs and ensuring strong security and worker mobility.

Working with partner InSpark, Duo+ implemented an Azure hybrid cloud built on Azure IaaS, Azure Active Directory Premium, Microsoft Intune, OMS, Azure Storage/Backup/Site Recovery, on‑premises Hyper‑V/Windows Azure Pack, and Office 365. The consolidated architecture unified domains, enabled “any device, anytime, anywhere” access with no service interruptions during migration, simplified IT operations through central management and cloud backup, and delivered better collaboration, security posture, and cost efficiencies—with ongoing optimization using Office 365 Secure Score.
