Don't Scratch Your Head (DSYH), an Ahmedabad-based startup founded in 2015, helps Indian SMBs manage the complexity of selling across e‑commerce marketplaces by automating reconciliation, order tracking and business‑intelligence reporting. Built initially on an Ubuntu VM with an open‑source stack (Java, PHP, MySQL, Python), the company ran into scalability, staging and API‑integration limits that increased manual work, threatened uptime and constrained growth — so DSYH sought a low‑cost, agile platform that would support open source and scale.

DSYH migrated to Microsoft Azure web apps, re‑architecting the solution with MongoDB and Python while keeping an open‑source stack; Azure provided always‑on availability, dynamic resource provisioning and the ability to serve >10,000 concurrent clients. The move was seamless: the platform now houses 1.5 TB of data with zero downtime in 18 months, processes more than 50 million orders (US$1B+ GMV) for 500+ sellers across 55 cities, uncovered 0.5–5% GMV leakages (identifying over US$1.5M in avoidable charges), and delivered a 40% productivity boost and ~10% improvement to the company’s bottom line.
