Case Study: DKV accelerates telemedicine access for citizens with Microsoft Azure

A Microsoft Azure Case Study

Preview of the DKV Case Study

DKV promotes telemedicine in society, with Microsoft Azure’s cooperation

DKV, a health and wellness services company in Spain, needed to rapidly expand its “Quiero Cuidarme Más” telemedicine platform beyond its insured customers to help the public during COVID-19, reduce pressure on emergency services, and lower contagion risk. To do this, DKV relied on Microsoft Azure, specifically Azure Kubernetes Service, to support the Kubernetes-based platform and deliver a secure, scalable solution in record time.

Microsoft Azure enabled DKV to launch a new public-facing app in just days, with strong resilience, availability, and easy scaling, plus Azure Storage for managing files and sensitive health data securely. The initiative connected more than 870 volunteer doctors with citizens, delivered over 23,000 online consultations, added 18,000 new users, and generated more than 90,000 mobile app downloads.
