Digital advertising company gets answers from terabytes of data with Microsoft Azure platform

MediaBrix is a New York–based, mobile-first ad platform that identifies high-value moments in app and game use to deliver contextual brand experiences. As mobile lacks cookie-based targeting and the company amassed 25–30 terabytes of data across multiple cloud accounts, it struggled to make that data accessible and actionable for precise, timely advertising.

MediaBrix consolidated and modernized its data platform on Microsoft Azure—using Event Hubs, Stream Analytics, Data Factory, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, and Azure Machine Learning—to enable real-time streaming, centralized storage, and familiar SQL-based analytics. The change cut query times from about 15 hours to seconds, scaled to tens of terabytes (adding 2 TB in a week), supported predictive models and Power BI visualizations, and helped deliver results such as roughly three times standard click-through benchmarks.
