10th Magnitude, a Chicago-based cloud development firm, was asked by Arrow Payments to quickly build a secure, PCI-compliant online payment gateway and support portal but Arrow lacked the in-house expertise and technical resources to complete the project. 10th Magnitude built the Arrow Merchant Gateway on Microsoft Azure—using Azure SQL Database, a REST API and the Azure CDN—delivering the solution in about 13 weeks and cutting typical development time by roughly 30%. The cloud-based system met PCI requirements, eliminated hardware and staffing costs for Arrow, and drove rapid customer wins (first customer within two days and about 40 customers added since launch) while providing scalable, high-performance service.
