Case Study: Dinero achieves scalable, automated accounting for Danish small businesses with Microsoft Azure

A Microsoft Azure Case Study

Preview of the Dinero Case Study

Danish accounting specialist counts on Microsoft Azure to deliver its powerful, flexible small-business solution

Dinero is a Danish SaaS accounting specialist that simplifies bookkeeping for small businesses by automating tax compliance and everyday accounting tasks. Facing a market with no good Denmark-specific solution, Dinero needed a mobile-first, secure platform that could scale for peak periods (like tax deadlines), support OCR-based invoice capture, and reduce manual data entry and errors while serving tens of thousands of users.

To meet those needs Dinero migrated to Microsoft Azure PaaS, using Azure SQL Database with Active Geo-Replication, App Service Web Apps with autoscaling and continuous delivery, and Azure Redis Cache, while leveraging Azure Machine Learning and OCR to automate invoice categorization. The result is a more secure, highly available, and scalable service that speeds processing, reduces errors, improves deployment agility, and enables ongoing feature expansion (including Cognitive Services, Elastic Pools, and a move toward microservices) to better serve its growing customer base.
