Cushman & Wakefield hybrid cloud solution eases merger, acquisition impact

Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate services firm with 300 offices and about 45,000 employees, faced IT fragmentation after an aggressive two‑plus year merger-and-acquisition push. Disparate domains and legacy access processes left remote facilities workers and other employees unable to self-manage passwords, creating help-desk bottlenecks, productivity loss and security risk.

The company deployed Microsoft Azure Active Directory Premium as a hybrid identity and access platform, enabling single sign-on and self-service password reset while consolidating eight to nine domains and thousands of users. The result: a more cohesive, user‑friendly environment with lower help-desk overhead, smoother app integration (e.g., Salesforce, Reflex), stronger security posture and a clear roadmap for next steps like multifactor and conditional access.
