Crowne Plaza Belgrade differentiates guest service with smart parking solution

Crowne Plaza Belgrade, one of the city’s largest hotels, sought to differentiate its guest experience in a competitive hospitality market where parking is often a pain point. The hotel wanted a seamless arrival process for business and event guests and turned to a technology partner to solve the persistent challenge of finding and managing parking availability.

Working with DunavNET, Crowne Plaza deployed ParkNET on Microsoft Azure (Azure IoT Hub and Azure SQL Database), using battery-powered sensors, an IoT gateway, and web/mobile apps to deliver real-time parking availability. The solution was customized and launched in two months, enabling staff and guests to find spaces quickly, reducing time, traffic, and fuel use, and creating a platform the hotel can extend to reservations, payments, and other IoT services to further improve efficiency and guest satisfaction.
