ABT Power Management, a U.S. leader in DC power optimization and creator of the GuaranteedPOWER® service, faced a scaling challenge: manual, fragmented monitoring of batteries and power systems couldn’t keep up as asset counts grew. The company needed a cloud-based, secure platform that supported two-way cloud-to-site communication, identity management, analytics and predictive capabilities—without building or running its own server infrastructure.

Partnering with Mariner, ABT implemented Microsoft Azure IoT Suite to build the Remote Automated Asset Management System (RAAMS), connecting thousands of sensors across 6,000+ assets for real-time alerts, historical analysis and predictive maintenance. The solution reduced required batteries by more than 25%, increased battery life by about 30%, cut overall power-management costs up to 30%, improved uptime, and made field service more efficient through targeted, data-driven interventions.
