Coca-Cola UNITED manages rapid growth with Microsoft Power Platform

Coca-Cola UNITED, one of the largest and fastest-growing Coca-Cola bottlers in the United States, needed a way to manage rapid expansion without relying on slow, manual processes and costly custom code. As operations grew from 18 to 54 sales centers and from 3,000 to more than 10,000 associates, the company turned to Microsoft Azure solutions, including Microsoft Power Platform, to better support its SAP-based environment and streamline development.

Microsoft Azure helped Coca-Cola UNITED build low-code apps and automation for forced shipments and event management, using Azure services, Logic Apps, DevOps, and custom connectors with SAP. The results were significant: inventory and order validation dropped from half a day to seconds, delivery times improved, errors decreased, and customer satisfaction increased. The company also launched a contactless event ordering and payment process within weeks, reducing paper handling and simplifying invoicing and settlement.
