Coca-Cola Bottling Company United dispenses streamlined order management with RPA in Microsoft Power Automate

Coca-Cola Bottling Company United, part of Coca-Cola’s bottling network, needed to streamline order and invoicing for the new Freestyle vending machine cartridge business as demand outgrew its legacy, manual process. Using Microsoft Azure and Power Automate, the company had to replace an 11-step workflow that relied on Excel, email, and manual SAP updates, while handling a rapidly growing volume of orders.

Microsoft Azure helped Coca-Cola United and Happiest Minds implement an automated solution built around an RPA bot named Asa. The bots now sync data into Azure SQL, create purchase orders in SAP, process supplier orders and invoices, and store documents in Azure Blob Storage. The result was full unattended automation, freeing the CRM agent for other work, avoiding the need to hire 10 full-time employees, reducing labor costs and errors, and enabling the Freestyle campaign to scale more quickly.
