Cloud-based Service Provider Helps Major Companies Process Payments

Sipree, founded in San Francisco in 2011, is a cloud-based payments provider that helps Global 2000 companies and governments pay consumers, partners, vendors, and affiliates through alternative networks like PayPal, PopMoney, and ClearXchange. Facing the industry challenge that many enterprises still rely on checks, cards, ACH, or wires, Sipree set out to unify those alternative electronic payment paths into a single, compliant platform that integrates with existing systems, business rules, and workflows while meeting corporate reporting and security requirements.

Sipree built a single-service architecture on Windows Azure that links customers’ systems of record with multiple alternative payment networks, enabling fast implementations and scalable operations. The solution delivered rapid time-to-production (an enterprise deployment for eBay/PayPal rebates and another network application moved to full production in 18 weeks), improved compliance with SOX and PCI needs, reduced fraud and manual errors, and provided broad reach to payees; PayPal itself used Sipree’s platform, and participation in Microsoft’s BizSpark One accelerated technical and business support and visibility.
