Clean Energy Fuels runs greener, boosts efficiency with Dynamics 365

Clean Energy, a provider of renewable natural gas for trucks, waste vehicles, and public transit, needed a better way to manage its growing, complex operations. As it expanded across hundreds of stations in the U.S. and Canada, the company turned to Microsoft Azure and Dynamics 365 to replace siloed systems, improve data access, and support more efficient finance, operations, and field service management.

Microsoft Azure helped Clean Energy implement cloud-based Dynamics 365 apps, Azure IoT Central, Azure Data Lake, and mixed-reality tools like Remote Assist and HoloLens to connect back-office data with field operations. The results included faster access to information, better technician training and remote support, about 85% savings in training expense over 9 to 12 months, and annual savings of $250,000 in operating costs plus $200,000 in avoided hardware refresh costs every four years.
