Webbed Frog Consulting, a Huntsville, Alabama–based Office 365 and Azure app developer, built Utility Sentry to address a common property-management problem: corporate teams managing hundreds or thousands of rental and commercial units couldn’t efficiently consolidate and analyze disparate on-site utility meter data for water, electricity, and gas, making budgeting, leak detection, and cost control slow and error-prone.

Utility Sentry, a patent‑pending Azure-based solution, automatically collects daily meter readings into an Azure SQL Database, provides a web dashboard and Universal Windows mobile apps for on-site updates, and sends threshold-based alerts to identify issues like leaks. The platform centralizes portfolio-wide analysis, scales with growing data (about 11 million meter records in the app) and helped the first client reduce water use by almost 30 million gallons in the first 10 months.
