Campbell Soup Company transforms IT and boosts supply chain visibility with a single global SAP HANA environment on Azure

Campbell Soup Company, a global food company with more than $8 billion in annual revenue, needed to improve reliability, scalability, and resilience across its SAP environment—especially after acquiring Snyder’s-Lance and integrating large volumes of legacy ERP data. To address these challenges, Campbell moved its SAP workloads and data to Microsoft Azure using SAP HANA on Azure.

Microsoft Azure helped Campbell implement a single global SAP HANA environment with high availability and disaster recovery, supported by Azure virtual machines and SAP-certified architecture. The migration consolidated systems, doubled HANA environments from 6 TB to 12 TB, and delivered measurable performance gains including a 40% reduction in transaction response time, up to 90% faster archiving jobs, up to 80% lower batch runtimes, and reduced migration downtime by more than half.
