BTT Corp., founded by Dr. Marc Abreu, developed a first‑of‑its‑kind, non‑invasive sensor that continuously measures brain temperature (the “brain thermal tunnel”). The company’s challenge was to turn that discovery into a marketable product in under a year with minimal IT setup and the ability to collect, store and analyze terabytes of continuous data to uncover clinical and consumer use cases.

BTT built on Microsoft Azure’s platform‑as‑a‑service—using Azure IoT Hub, Azure Functions, Azure Machine Learning, Azure SQL Database, Power BI and Xamarin—to ingest live data, run R‑based analytics and predictive models, and deliver mobile and web experiences. The solution let the small team move fast without infrastructure overhead, scale with demand, and rapidly produce insights that are enabling a consumer sleep product and ongoing clinical use cases for early illness detection.
