Baker Hill is a 30‑year‑old fintech software provider that delivers SaaS banking and analytics solutions to more than 600 financial institutions. When the company became independent in late 2015, it faced a tight, high‑stakes challenge: move 10 TB of data spanning hundreds of databases from the parent company’s datacenter to the cloud in 48 hours, without installing transfer agents or touching the source datacenter, while leaving time for regulatory testing.

Baker Hill teamed with a Microsoft NSI partner, Microsoft’s DX Azure team, and Equinix to create a rapid, secure migration using Azure ExpressRoute. Equinix provided a short‑term on‑ramp, encrypted disks were transported to the facility, and the team burst across primary and backup ExpressRoute circuits to reach 20 Gbps. The result: all 10 TB were migrated, validated, and live with time to spare for testing—delivering an on‑time Monday go‑live, a repeatable high‑speed migration blueprint, and ongoing Azure adoption for future innovation.
