Bahraini ministry drives business efficiency with cloud management

The Bahrain Ministry of Youth and Sport Affairs (MYS), which supports youth across 36 centers, 52 national sport clubs and three specialized centers with a 250-employee organization, needed to modernize IT to support new e-services and enterprise applications. With a small IT team, the ministry faced three significant system outages and sought a proactive, secure way to reduce operational cost and improve service delivery in line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.

MYS deployed the cloud-based Microsoft Operations Management Suite to gain full visibility into its on-premises infrastructure (without hosting data in the cloud), enabling predictive maintenance, vulnerability and patch alerts, and an intuitive dashboard. The result: update cycles shortened from about a month to two weeks, lower maintenance-contract costs, stronger security compliance and a shift from reactive troubleshooting to proactive IT management.
