Case Study: CityBee achieves high availability and rapid scaling with Microsoft Azure

CityBee, a Lithuanian car- and bike-sharing provider operating in Vilnius and Kaunas with over 500 cars and 150 bikes, faced rapidly growing demand that strained its leased-server infrastructure. The company needed a more reliable, easy-to-maintain platform that would support high availability, faster testing and deployment, and quick scaling to handle peaks in user traffic.

Working with partner SQUALIO Lietuva, CityBee migrated its entire stack to Microsoft Azure in a three-month project, using separate environments for testing and production and a pay-as-you-go model. The move delivered markedly fewer infrastructure failures, much faster testing and rollouts, minute-scale scaling for campaigns, roughly threefold infrastructure expansion with cost savings, and freed developers to focus on improving the service.
