Azerbaijani trade and production group of companies leaps into the cloud to speed up business

Veyseloglu Group of Companies is one of Azerbaijan’s largest retail and trade conglomerates, with about 14,000 employees and operations in over 20 countries. Rapid expansion into the fast-moving consumer goods market exposed limits in its on‑premises datacenters, creating scalability, agility, and business‑continuity challenges that threatened future growth.

Working with partner Squalio, Veyseloglu migrated all users to Microsoft 365 and moved about 17,000 data estates, applications, and virtual machines to Azure. The move put nearly 100% of IT in the cloud, delivered roughly 20% savings on hardware, shrank new‑business rollout from years to months and service deployment from weeks to hours, and opened immediate access to Azure capabilities such as AI, big data, and enhanced security.
