Argentine Supreme Court provides faster, digitized service to citizens with cloud media portal

The Supreme Court of Buenos Aires, which serves 15 million people across 135 municipalities, faced long, paper-based legal processes that forced citizens and lawyers to travel, wait months for records, and endure case timelines of six months to two years. The court wanted to digitize filings, record and share video proceedings, enable secure remote access, and reduce administrative delays across its 14,000 employees and external users.

Court developers and partner Lagash built the Augusta System — a .NET portal on Microsoft Azure with Azure Media Services for streaming, Azure Active Directory and digital signatures for security, and mobile compatibility for anytime access. The portal now supports internal and public users (over 200,000 monthly), cut information-request turnaround from ~50 days to one day, and reduced case resolution times from about two years to two–three months, saving time and travel costs while improving transparency and security.
