EasyPay is a Tirana-based e-wallet and mobile payment platform that lets Albanians pay bills, top up phones and shop via Android, iOS, Windows apps and 300 field agents. As the business scaled, it needed a secure, GDPR-compliant, and cost-effective way to notify hundreds of thousands of users about offers and bills, target users individually or in bulk, and reduce server load.

EasyPay adopted Microsoft Azure and Azure Notification Hubs to deliver enterprise-grade push messaging that was quick to deploy, scalable and reliable. The solution boosted engagement and customer satisfaction—users grew from 450,000 to 650,000 and transaction volume rose from €17m in 2016 to €30m in 2017—while providing the security and pricing predictability to support future expansion.
