Aggreko, a UK-based manufacturing company that provides temporary power and temperature-control equipment, needed a more secure and scalable way to support its remote monitoring and fleet optimization efforts. Its older proof-of-concept systems could not keep up with the growing volume of performance data, and an on-premises option would have required major investment and 24/7 maintenance.

Using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Premier Support for Developers, Microsoft helped Aggreko build a cloud-based digital backbone and centralized operations center for real-time monitoring and analytics. The solution can process up to 50,000 events per minute, enabled the launch of 3 customer-facing Azure web portals and 1 mobile app within 16 weeks, and improved development speed, security, and confidence in delivering global projects.
