Case Study: TEXA achieves real-time vehicle insights and faster emergency response with Microsoft Azure Stream Analytics

A Microsoft Azure Stream Analytics Case Study

Preview of the TEXA Case Study

TEXA’s revolutionary IoT solution for vehicle owners helps save time, money, gas—and possibly lives

TEXA, a leading provider of vehicle diagnostic tools, wanted to turn raw vehicle sensor data into useful services for drivers, mechanics, and fleet managers. The company needed a way to process data from connected vehicles in real time, prioritize emergency events, and provide remote diagnostics and automatic alerts, while scaling beyond its on-premises infrastructure. Microsoft Azure Stream Analytics was part of the cloud platform TEXA chose to support this vision.

Using Microsoft Azure, TEXA built an IoT solution around Azure Event Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Redis Cache, Azure DocumentDB, and Azure SQL Database. The platform analyzes vehicle events in real time, routes emergency data first, and delivers secure dashboards, alerts, and remote diagnostic access across web and mobile apps. The result was strong growth, with orders doubling within six months, support for more than a billion messages per month from 20,000 devices, 100% uptime reported, and a very low service cost of less than 24 euro cents per vehicle per month.
