Case Study: Mission Linen Supply streamlines order processing and grows faster with Microsoft Azure Stream Analytics

A Microsoft Azure Stream Analytics Case Study

Preview of the Mission Linen Supply Case Study

Linen service routes orders through the cloud to expand business and solve order problems faster

Mission Linen Supply, a family-owned linen and uniform rental company in the United States, needed a better way to manage its expanding direct-sales e-commerce business. As it moved away from manual order handling and a third-party EDI provider, the company faced slow supplier onboarding, limited visibility into order flow, and delays in resolving fulfillment problems. Microsoft Azure Stream Analytics was part of the Azure-based integration stack Mission chose to modernize the process.

Mission Linen Supply worked with VNB Consulting Services to build an order-processing solution in Microsoft Azure using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Hub, Azure SQL Database, Azure File Storage, and Power BI. The new system automatically routes orders, translates them into the correct supplier EDI format, and provides real-time insight into order status. The result was faster supplier onboarding—cutting setup time from two months or more to about two weeks—along with better customer service and potential annual savings of about $5,000 in transaction fees.
