Evoqua Water Technologies, a large U.S. provider of water purification and management solutions, needed to reinvent itself after being divested and losing much of its parent company’s IT support. To become more than a commodity equipment supplier, Evoqua turned to Microsoft Azure Stream Analytics and the broader Microsoft cloud to build a data-driven foundation for real-time visibility into field equipment, customer water systems, and service operations.

Microsoft helped Evoqua implement a hybrid cloud solution using Azure, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Synapse Analytics, Dynamics 365, and related services to collect and analyze equipment data, power customer dashboards, and connect field service teams with sales and support workflows. The results included better predictive service, stronger customer insights, faster dispatching, improved field productivity, and $2.5 million in annual savings, along with a 10% budget reduction and faster acquisition onboarding.
