Veolia Environnement, a French environmental services company, needed to replace siloed data, duplicated reporting, and monthly spreadsheet-based customer reporting with a single version of the truth. Using Microsoft Azure Stream Analytics alongside Azure and Power BI, Veolia sought to unify data across water, waste, and energy operations and make reporting more consistent for both employees and customers.

Microsoft Azure Stream Analytics helped Veolia build a modern Azure data architecture with centralized data ingestion and analytics, while Power BI provided embedded customer reporting and self-service insights. The result was a cloud-first reporting platform with more than 30,000 customer users, daily refreshed data, and one standard report delivered with row-level security instead of 1,000 SSRS reports and manual spreadsheets, improving consistency, agility, and customer satisfaction.
