A Microsoft Azure CDN Case Study
Pacifico Seguros, a leading Peruvian insurer, faced a legacy on‑premises CMS and fragmented portals for customers, brokers and suppliers and needed to centralize and modernize its online platform. To do this it adopted a hybrid cloud model using Red Hat Enterprise Linux and IaaS capabilities on Microsoft Azure CDN, moving portal content and business logic to the cloud while keeping sensitive policy and claims data on‑prem.
Using Microsoft Azure CDN, Pacífico deployed a clustered environment with Liferay on Apache Tomcat, Apache Solr search and seven cloud servers linked to four on‑prem servers, plus web services for secure integration. The change cut delivery times dramatically—projects that once took months are now done in weeks, and routine processes that took weeks now complete in days—while improving deployment speed, infrastructure agility, centralized portal management and user self‑service across client, broker and supplier portals.
