University of British Columbia - Customer Case Study

The University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine, spanning more than 100 sites across British Columbia, faced a complex challenge managing a distributed resident program whose participants aren’t in the university’s student information system and rotate across hospitals. To replace fragmented teacher-tracking, clinical placement, payroll and resident management processes, UBC selected MicroPact’s entellitrak configurable platform as a System of Record.

MicroPact delivered entellitrak (starting with a free prototype) and built a web-based, configurable resident-management solution that handles intake, promotion, registration, rotation exceptions, payroll and reimbursements, plus role-based dashboards and reporting. The MicroPact implementation standardized and streamlined processes across 70 programs, provided faster access to higher-quality data via simple queries and KPIs, and established a scalable foundation for ongoing digital transformation.
