CSX, one of the largest rail companies in the U.S., was managing union grievance cases in a decentralized, in-house system spread across multiple mainframes and inconsistent office practices, which made access difficult and the overall process time-consuming and frustrating. To modernize and consolidate grievance workflows, CSX selected MicroPact’s entellitrak Labor Relations solution.

MicroPact integrated entellitrak with CSX’s existing FileNet to create an enterprise document management system that centralizes grievance data and provides end-to-end tracking of bargaining units, agreements, and case status. The deployment gave authorized employees secure, remote access to any part of a claim, streamlined investigations and tracking, and enabled ad hoc reporting for daily activity, status, and trend analysis—resulting in faster, more transparent labor relations oversight.
