A MicroPact Case Study
The United States Department of Labor’s Adjudicatory Boards — including the Office of the Clerk of the Appellate Boards (OCAB), which handles as many as 5,000 appeals a year — faced technological barriers that prevented telework and remote access. Staff had to access three independent legacy systems (one on Lotus Notes) that could not run concurrently or be reached remotely, making telecommuting impossible. To address this, the Department selected MicroPact’s entellitrak platform.
MicroPact implemented entellitrak to consolidate the three systems into a single, configurable case management and BPM platform (configured with 18 specific roles), enabling remote access, information sharing, workflow routing and real‑time reporting. As a result, OCAB staff can telework two days per month plus unscheduled telework during weather events, maintain operations during emergencies like Snowmageddon and Hurricane Sandy, and continue processing thousands of appeals annually with improved routing and reporting thanks to MicroPact’s solution.
