A MicroMain Corporation Case Study
Miami-Dade County Corrections and Rehabilitation, which operates six jails housing about 7,200 inmates across more than 1,000,000 sq. ft., was relying on an outdated Microsoft Access system to track maintenance. High volumes of service tickets caused frequent crashes and slow, manual workflows that delayed requests and reporting.
After evaluating 12 CMMS/EAM options, the county implemented MicroMain, which proved cost-effective and configurable in-house. The new system automated ticketing and reporting, cutting ticket turnaround from 4–6 days to under a minute, reducing staff processing time (formerly four hours/day) and producing daily reports instead of monthly ones—yielding estimated savings of at least $225,000 per year and faster response in emergencies.
