A MicroMain Corporation Case Study
Mammoth, a long-established leader in custom HVAC manufacturing, faced a reactive, paper-based maintenance system that struggled to support its multi-million-dollar sheet metal equipment, paint booths, cranes and facility systems. The company needed to eliminate non-value-added work, reduce downtime and increase capacity across nearly 800 assets while improving visibility for decision-making.
Mammoth implemented MicroMain’s CMMS in 2000, starting with a 12-asset pilot before rolling it plantwide. The system enabled effective planning, preventive maintenance scheduling and easy access to parts and manuals, streamlining daily workflows. As a result, facility maintenance costs fell 52%, overtime dropped 48%, work is done with 42% less manpower, emergency responses declined significantly, and overall capacity and efficiency improved with rapid payback.
