Carlsberg And Microlise Partnership Delivers Fuel Saving And Emissions Reduction Of 6%

Carlsberg needed to sustain the fuel-efficiency gains from its SAFED driver training but lacked the ongoing monitoring and coaching to keep improvements long term. To meet MPG and emissions targets across its 300+ vehicle fleet, Carlsberg partnered with Microlise and implemented the Microlise Fleet Performance telematics solution.

Microlise fitted telematics units, ran user training and driver debriefs, and focused on idling, harsh acceleration and “time in green band” KPIs, later adding Microlise Journey Management for route adherence. The Microlise-led programme delivered measurable results — 4.8% fuel saving in year one and a further 1% in year two (approximately 6% combined), plus reduced mileage and lower carbon emissions.
