A Michigan Software Labs Case Study

Rutgers University launches Storm/Breaker on the App Store in spring 2023 with Michigan Software Labs

Rutgers University partnered with Michigan Software Labs to create a mental health app grounded in psychological research. The challenge was to develop an application that could help users track their emotional and behavioral patterns to better understand their mental health triggers and access coping mechanisms, moving beyond generic wellness tracking.

Michigan Software Labs developed the iOS app Storm/Breaker using SwiftUI and Firebase. The solution featured a calming, non-triggering interface and a system of user check-ins to identify emotional patterns. The app successfully launched on the App Store in spring 2023, with the customer praising Michigan Software Labs for their excellent deliverables, adherence to timeline, and passionate commitment to the project's success.
