Stannah, a long-established UK lift manufacturer with a mixed fleet of over 700 vehicles and 890 drivers set up on Connect, faced a time-consuming, high-stakes challenge in managing business mileage and private mileage deductions for HMRC reporting. MICHELIN Connected Fleet provided the solution using the SmarterDriver app alongside the Connect telematics platform to simplify driver mileage capture and ensure data accuracy and compliance.

MICHELIN Connected Fleet implemented SmarterDriver for 170 app users, automatically displaying journeys from Connect for drivers to swipe left/right to mark business or private trips, with digital HMRC-compliant records and fuel card data synchronization. The roll-out immediately streamlined data collection, reduced administrative waste and month-end batching, and made mileage reporting faster and more accurate across Stannah’s 890 drivers.
