Ferguson - Customer Case Study

Ferguson, a leading distributor of building, heating and plumbing supplies with a fleet of more than 900 vehicles, faced the challenge of improving customer deliveries, boosting driver safety and cutting fuel use. To address this, Ferguson partnered with MICHELIN Connected Fleet to deploy an intelligent telematics solution across 193 branch vehicles.

MICHELIN Connected Fleet implemented a real‑time telematics and in‑cab coaching system that monitors harsh driving events, provides instant driver alerts and can notify customers when deliveries approach. A Tonbridge pilot showed fuel savings of 8–10%, the roll‑out reached multiple branch fleets (Pipe Center, Climate Center, Drain Center) and an ongoing trial eliminated one vehicle, demonstrating measurable improvements in fuel efficiency, driver behaviour and operational uptime.
