Dove launched Project #ShowUs to build the world’s largest stock photo library created by women and non-binary people to challenge beauty stereotypes after research showed 70% of women don’t feel represented. To capture contributor images and personal stories and display them on campaign pages, Dove engaged Miappi, which provided a bespoke UGC submission form and powers the interactive galleries on the campaign site.
Miappi’s solution collected and curated content from over 3,000 people worldwide in the first month, and the library has seen 7,000 image downloads by more than 900 companies across 40 countries; selected contributors are also being paired with photographers to expand the archive. Miappi’s platform helped Dove drive measurable industry impact, support female photographers and contributed to Dove/Unilever earning a silver Glass: Lion For Change at Cannes Lions 2019.
