GO Outdoors Achieves Peak Performance With Mi9 Retail

GO Outdoors is a UK outdoor retailer with 30 large-format stores, an e-commerce channel and a private-label business, offering more than 25,000 products. Rapid growth exposed limits in its forecasting and replenishment processes—reliance on Excel and its ERP led to hit-or-miss forward ordering, poor product mixes on shelves, lost sales and slow responses to trends and promotions.

GO Outdoors implemented Mi9 Retail Demand Forecasting and Replenishment to automate aggregated forecasts and produce time-phased, cost-effective ordering plans. After a fast implementation (went live in December 2010) the retailer saw improved store-level product mix and forecast accuracy, reduced stock-outs, obsolescence and lost sales, better order planning and replenishment, and higher planner productivity and satisfaction.
