Streamlined and Secure Healthcare Network Modernizes AP and Year-End Tax Processes

Regional Healthcare Network, a U.S.-based healthcare organization with about 1,000 employees, needed a more secure and efficient way to handle AP checks and year-end tax documents. Its legacy process relied on four separate tools and manual work, including emailing merged tax PDFs, which created PII security risks, slowed year-end close, and strained a lean IT team.

MHC Software implemented a cloud-based automation solution using MHC NorthStar AP Payments, MHC NorthStar AP Tax, and MHC NorthStar Employee Tax, along with the NDSS self-service portal. The new system automated W-2 and 1099 processing, secured digital delivery, and sped up AP check printing, going live in phases within about two to three months and fully ahead of tax season. The result was improved security, reduced manual effort, and on-time delivery of all year-end forms with no performance issues under high volume.
