Case Study: IBM Cloud achieves petabyte-scale centralized logging and real-time DevOps observability with Mezmo

A Mezmo Case Study

How Mezmo and IBM Find Synergy in Cloud

IBM Cloud needed a scalable, fully integrated logging solution to centralize application, system, and service logs for the platform, internal teams, and thousands of customers. Mezmo was chosen as the vendor, delivered through offerings like IBM Log Analysis with Mezmo and IBM Cloud Activity Tracker with Mezmo, and had to integrate tightly with IBM Cloud Services while running on IBM Cloud infrastructure.

Mezmo implemented a Kubernetes-based logging service on the IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service (IKS), deployed across eight global IBM data centers, collecting logs from dozens of IBM Cloud services and providing centralized logging for all of IBM Cloud, internal teams (including IBM Watson and The Weather Company), and thousands of customers. As a result, Mezmo has been the sole logging provider for IBM Cloud since 2018, supports thousands of teams and customers, manages petabytes of logs, and delivers fast, deployable capabilities (LiveTail, natural-language search, intelligent parsing, real-time alerts) via the IBM Cloud catalog.
