Better (Better Mortgage), a financial services company, needed a simpler, faster way for its engineering teams to analyze logs and troubleshoot complex Kubernetes environments. The team moved away from Kibana toward Mezmo, adopting Mezmo’s logging platform — including the Mezmo Kubernetes Agent and Kubernetes Enrichment — to provide centralized logging, easy search, rich visualizations, and long-term retention that meets regulatory needs.

Mezmo was rolled out across all engineering teams, integrated with Datadog, and configured with Google-like search, Boards/Graphs/Screens, 30-day retention and S3 archiving. The result: over one hundred engineers use Mezmo weekly, teams now own their logging and monitoring end-to-end, MTTD and MTTR have decreased, and Better can practice continuous delivery more safely — giving them a measurable operational speed and competitive advantage.
