VistaPrint is a global print-on-demand supplier of printed and promotional materials serving micro businesses and consumers, operating complex, end-to-end “click to ship” production across facilities in Canada, the Netherlands, Australia and India. To meet its commitments for on-time, high-quality and on-budget delivery, VistaPrint needed a consistent, flexible maintenance management solution to support Lean manufacturing and coordinate multiple software and production components — a challenge solved by implementing the MEX Maintenance Software (CMMS).

MEX was deployed to manage assets from site to component level, linking equipment to supplier records, preventative maintenance (PM) policies, work order history and spare-parts inventory. The implementation covers 305 registered assets, 146 active PM policies, 1,657 store items, nearly 6,000 completed work orders since June 2010, plus a Requestor module with 60 active users generating over 1,200 remote requests — delivering improved planning, scheduling, ROI and KPI visibility. MEX’s reporting and KPI tools helped VistaPrint maintain safety, quality and financial targets and contributed to VistaPrint Australia receiving a Shingo bronze medal for Operational Excellence.
