Savanna Energy - Customer Case Study

Savanna Energy, a Canadian on-shore oil and gas drilling company with more than 180 rigs worldwide and an Australian division based in Toowoomba, needed a way to centrally manage maintenance across its Australian fleet (17 drilling, workover and flush-by rigs), vehicles and remote field crews while reducing breakdowns and avoiding delays from Canada-based IT support and on-premises hosting. They selected MEX Maintenance Software and opted to host their data with MEX to secure local support and reliable system availability.

MEX was deployed across all Australian rigs, vehicles and offices, using the Asset Register to record job notes, work orders, history, readings and costs per asset, and implementing several hundred preventative maintenance policies. Field staff access MEX via iOS and web apps to submit requests and work orders in the field; the MEX-hosted solution delivered faster local support, improved uptime and equipment availability, and helped Savanna Energy reduce breakdowns and maximize operating time across the fleet.
