A MEX Case Study
Cooinda Village, a not-for-profit aged care community in Benalla with 68 independent living units and an 82‑bed residential facility, needed a way to centralise asset information and improve maintenance and contractor management. To address this, Cooinda Village purchased MEX (currently using version 15) and completed introductory training to begin integrating the system into daily maintenance practices.
Using MEX, Cooinda Village built a detailed Asset Register for medical equipment, adopted Work Orders (requiring contractors to reference orders when quoting or invoicing) and implemented a Key Register, giving staff a single source of truth for assets and key custody. The MEX deployment has improved maintenance tracking, enabled accurate reconciliation of work ordered versus work invoiced, and been readily adapted to aged‑care needs — with plans to extend use into MEX’s Preventative Maintenance Module.
