Clarence Valley Council - Customer Case Study

Clarence Valley Council, a local government in New South Wales serving about 49,665 residents across more than 10,400 km², faced the challenge of keeping a wide variety of plant and equipment—particularly water and sewer assets—properly maintained without over-servicing. The Council needed a versatile, mobile CMMS that could handle both planned and reactive work, notify users when maintenance was due, and store records against assets, and selected MEX to meet those requirements.

Using MEX, the Council implemented a system to manage planned, unscheduled and reactive maintenance, delegate jobs, and record all work against assets; MEX Ops also gives operational staff a user-friendly way to request and track repairs. Clarence Valley reports more accurate maintenance records, improved scheduling and workforce programming, better visibility of backlog to justify additional resources, and overall gains in operational efficiency using MEX.
