Casella Family Brands - Customer Case Study

Casella Family Brands, a large family-owned winery producing over 140 million bottles annually, faced the challenge of reliably maintaining roughly 10,000 assets across a high-volume production operation to ensure continuous global supply. To centralize and control its maintenance function, Casella Family Brands implemented the MEX computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), including the Preventative Maintenance module and MEX Stores functionality.

MEX was rolled out enterprise-wide (130 users) and is used daily to generate ~700 work orders per week, catalogue 14,000 spare parts (valued at about $9M) across seven stores, link documents to assets, and capture breakdown and preventative maintenance data. The MEX system gave Casella Family Brands better control and visibility of maintenance activities, enabled strategic asset planning, improved operational efficiencies, and delivered high‑level KPI and daily reporting to manage safety, quality and reliability.
